'Wailing wall' is pure israeli dub, mixing classic roots influences, jewish and arabic melodies and 21st century production techniques. It is the sound of 5am in Jerusalem at the wailing wall, a mix between jewish and arab prayers.
'Hot on the left heel' is a mash of things that influenced Funk Sinatra throughout his life. On the one side Throbbing Gristle and on the other Leftfield-the name itself is a tribute and Funk Sinatra went for a very dark and minimal feel but still manages to keep it grooving....throw some acappellas into the mix and you're in for a treat.
'Dubber's delight' starts as a minimal techno track slowed down to the bare minimum of sounds and BPM. It is both dark and happy, both danceable and listenable, which is the ultimate goal for Funk Sinatra - Music you can think about and listen to.
'Rhodes Road' was his way to show the world that melodies come to him naturally.

In the early 90s, in Geneva, there was a style folks there called "space dub" that I really liked and never had a chance to find on CD/Vynil/etc. Only a few cassettes that were worn out long ago :(
I've been searching for this sound in many places. (Jahtari is almost there, so was Planet Dog, ...) but something was missing.
Funk Sinatra's dub manages to evoke in me the same feeling I was searching for over more than a century.
Thanks, Funk.
The Dod.
P.S. I also like the track by miss kittin and the hacker ;) (he's dead, you know. hee hee)
