In 1997 Michael Stapf began combining different musical styles like Techno and Electro in his Dj-sets, drawing on well-known german Techno-clubs like Dorian Gray and Omen for inspiration. Before winning the Teknite Dj-contest at U-Bahn (Iserlohn) in 2002 he usually showcased his talent at small private parties.
From 2002 on, interest in his DJing-skills rose and he became a regular performer at various clubs and events throughout Germany. Among these are Tanzhaus-West/Frankfurt, Porn Club/Essen, Butan Club/Wuppertal, Pulp Mansion/Berlin, U60311/Frankfurt, Space Place/Frankfurt, Fusion Club/Münster and many more. During his career as a DJ, Michael Stapf has played together with many other famous Disc Jockeys and Live Acts like Massimo, Roland Casper, Funk d´Void, DJ Dag, Terence Fixmer, Marky, André Galluzzi, Tok Tok, The Disco Boys, The Advent, Legowelt, Carl Cox, Switchblade aka Leo Laker, DJ Mahatma, Adam Beyer, Tomcraft, John Starlight, Good Groove, Brixton and Patrick Lindsey, only to name a few.
At then moment Michael performs regularly at the Tanzhaus West Frankfurt, the U-Bar / U60311 Frankfurt and the Qu Club Rüdesheim. He also produces his own tracks, of which free samples can be listened to at his website and of course on myspace and musicartistry.
